I am a big fan of buying second hand. Every since I was young and my sister would take me thrift store shopping for vintage or cool clothes, I was hooked. I still go thrift store shopping to this day. I take my mom and cousin and we go from store to store. Our favorite one is in St. Augustine called Alpha-Omega Thrift Store. I look for everything – clothes, sports equipment, purses and books! I love books, so I always check out the book section. When I got married I even bought my veil at a thrift store on Palm Beach! I had it dyed to match my dress and it was beautiful!
Now with computers and everyone buying on line there are several places to purchase used items. One place is Quicksales. I love this idea, as online classifieds stores have everything you want, all on one website: tools, clothes, toys, phones and so much more. It’s also beneficial for the environment to buy second hand. Think of all those items not going into the dumps. The items are still useable; they just need a new loving home!
Just walking around the neighborhood this morning I saw so many things that people just throw away. Please don’t throw it away! Donate it, give it away, or make some money and sell it!
